James has focused his career on insurance defence and has over 20 years' experience in the insurance industry.
Currently, he is counsel for numerous major insurance companies. The
core of James' practice is property damage, arson, fraud, commercial
general liability, product liability, environmental, personal injury,
motor vehicle, occupiers' liability, subrogation, errors and omissions,
boiler and machinery, and jewellers' block. He also has considerable
experience advising primary insurance companies, in addition to excess
and reinsurers, on insurance coverage issues and disputes.
James acts in both defence and subrogation issues for a large roster of
corporate clientele with self-retained exposures. He also represents and
advises insurance adjusters, independent adjusters, and their governing
association
